Housing Advisory Committee

The Housing Advisory Committee is a select group of residents and private sector volunteers consisting of real estate professionals, community non-profit housing developers, funders, attorneys, housing advocates, and representatives of business groups, environmental groups, the building industry, and the neighborhood organizations within the unincorporated areas. The mission of the committee is threefold: 1) to assist the Department of Regional Planning in complying with Housing Element; 2) to identify and recommend ways to remove barriers to the construction of housing; and 3) to recommend incentives to encourage the construction of affordable housing. The committee meets on a quarterly basis.
