The Cerritos Island Urgency Ordinance temporarily regulates all residentially zoned parcels in the Cerritos Island area bounded by 166th Street, Gridley Road, 167th Street and Elmcroft Avenue by requiring a conditional use permit for buildings and additions that exceed 26ft in height and for yard modifications. The urgency ordinance, which was adopted on June 22, 2008, was extended a second time for an additional 12 months. The urgency ordinance will remain in effect until June 9, 2010.
