The recently adopted Shared Water Well Ordinance has established a good regulatory framework for the proposed limited sharing of a water well; however, it appears that certain property owners have established safe and viable shared well situations that do not fit the allowances in the Ordinance, and that predate both some applicable State laws and the County Ordinance. For this reason, some of these shared well situations should be reviewed for possible incorporation of related allowances into the Shared Water Well Ordinance.
