Owen Brown Gravesite Committee
The Owen Brown Gravesite Committee is a community group which includes: a member of the Altadena Town Council, a member of the Altadena Heritage, an Altadena resident with knowledge of Altadena trails and open space efforts, and a member of the Meadows residential area. These committee members are confirmed by The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and meetings are facilitated by The Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning. The purpose of the Owen Brown Gravesite Committee is to establish, preserve, and maintain a memorial site known as the “Owen Brown Gravesite”, in accordance with Los Angeles County’s Conditional Use Permit 2007-00114 (Full Conditions of Approval found Here).
The Owen Brown Gravesite Committee meets at a minimum of once per year. Meetings are open to the public and are noticed pursuant to Brown Act requirements.
