GIS-NET Public - Planning & Zoning Information and More!

GIS-NET Public is one of the newer tools created to provide the Public with spatial tools and planning and zoning information in the UNINCORPORATED areas of Los Angeles County. It was developed by the Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning's (DRP) GIS Section. This application replaces a previous application that was in service for many years. In fact, the first public facing version of GIS-NET was made available in 2006.

Some features of the GIS-NET application that were similar to the previous application:
  • Ability to search by address or APN
  • Ability to select from a list of community names
  • Ability to turn layers on and off
  • Ability to do identifies, queries and buffers from layers and selected items
  • Ability to query and select tract and parcel maps (subdivision activity) and see them on the map
  • Ability to do other tasks like draw, measure, create report and print.
Some new features and functions with GIS-NET Public:
  • 2020 aerial imagery
  • Updated Parcel Profile Report with oblique imagery option
  • Improved application load time
  • Ability to customize [almost] any layer and/or label
  • Add data from other map services

Large amounts of data are potentially transmitted during the use of this site and a good amount of computer resources are necessary to run the flash application. Please note that loading time will vary depending on your connection speed and the amount of data being requested. If this is your first visit, please read the Help sections for details on how to use this application.

GIS-NET requires Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge or Safari (latest versions are recommended). Important! The minimum screen resolution for using this program is 1024 x 768. Also, make sure to maximize the application window to optimize the display.
