Plans & Ordinances
Ordinances
Zoning Ordinances are local amendments to the County Code that establish regulations for the proper development of property that aim to preserve the public health, safety and welfare in the unincorporated areas. Such amendments are usually specific in nature to address one or more issues that may affect a specific community (through establishment of a Community Standards District) or throughout the unincorporated areas of the County (such as a child care ordinance).
Please note Title 22 Code section references may have changed, effective February 28, 2019.
The following reflect ordinances at various stages in the process. Draft Ordinances and RPC Items for Discussion are those ordinances or documents available for public review but have not yet started the formal public hearing process. Ordinances Considered by RPC or Board are draft ordinances that are or have gone through public hearing through the Regional Planning Commission and/or the Board of Supervisors, but are not yet adopted and in effect. Adopted Ordinances are those ordinances that have been completed and are now in effect. Adopted Community Standards Districts or CSDs are the adopted standards that apply in certain communities. Proposed or draft updates to the CSDs may be found under the other pages as applicable.
