The Los Angeles County 2035 General Plan provides the policy framework for how and where the unincorporated County will grow through the year 2035, while recognizing and celebrating the County’s wide diversity of cultures, abundant natural resources, and status as an international economic center.

Adopted Airport Land Use Plans
In Los Angeles County, the RPC has the responsibility for acting as the Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC). The ALUC is required to prepare and adopt a Comprehensive Land Use Plan. This and airport land use compatibility plans are to promote compatibility between an airport and the land uses surrounding it, and provides overarching guidance to affected land use jurisdictions. These plans are separate and distinct from other land use policy documents, and are aimed at future land use development rather than airport activity.
